The cool and unique Greenwood Corvette was a high-performance sports car made by Greenwood Corvettes in 1976. Although it was called a Corvette, it didn't have much in common with the Corvettes of its time except for some similarities in its looks. The 1976 Greenwood Corvettes had tube frame chassis and were used in the IMSA Camel GT Series, Trans Am Series, and sometimes even in Le Mans. These cars were powered by huge 7.7L aluminum big block V8 engines that could produce a whopping 725 horsepower, allowing them to reach speeds up to 215 mph (346 km/h) on Le Mans's Mulsanne Straight. It was so different from the other Corvettes that it earned the nickname "Batmobile."
It is a good-looking Corvette with loads of decals, but I thought it would look even better without them. So, I removed all of them to make the purple color stand out more and give it a more swanky look. When I need to remove decals/tampos from my Hot Wheels, I use a dry-erase marker. It works like magic!
I painted some interior details, the exhaust pipe, and the tail lights. It's the little things that make the biggest difference when you customize your Hot Wheels.
I also changed the tires and added a license plate.
Check out my video to see the full customization of the 1976 Hot Wheels Greenwood Corvette. What do you think of the final result?
