The Custom Otto is a muscle car inspired by the artwork from the original Hot Wheels packaging in 1968. This particular car model is often referred to as the "Lost Redline" and was brought back to life in 2008 to celebrate Hot Wheel's 40th Anniversary. The car's design was created by Larry Wood, who used original artwork by the artist Otto Kuhni. The name "Custom Otto" was given to the car to honor the artist, Otto.
My Custom Otto is the orange 2024 model with black stripes on its sides and hood. The car is equipped with a black hood scoop, a Hot Wheels logo, and a striking light orange strip on each side. I already like the appearance of the car, but I am always interested in ways to enhance its overall look.
I think I made some sick upgrades to the car. I painted the tail lights red to give them a cool and distinct look. I also went with black paint on the front grill to give the car an elegant vibe and painted the seat belts. To make it my own, I added a Texaco waterslide and a California license plate. Last but not least, I swapped out the tires for some Goodyear staggered tires, which made for a way smoother ride. The car looks so much better now, I'm stoked!
